On July 3rd, we hosted our friends at Vive Le Vin to have their official launch party at the showroom. The atmosphere, people, food, cigars, and wine (of course) were terrific. We love helping out the community at Maison Leporem, and using our space as the location for the event is bittersweet!
So what is Vive le Vin? It started with the idea of having wine lovers enjoy private imported wines in the comfort of their homes. The founders Michael and Adreano came up with this fantastic idea, and in the few months of their soft launch, they have grown a following!
The purchase of private import wines here in Quebec can get tricky and not the most straightforward task. The idea of Vive le Vin is to make it as easy to use as possible. Michael stated that they want to be "the Amazon of private wines in Quebec."
They currently have partnered with one private importing company called Il Vigneto and are selling their imports by the case on the Vive le Vin website. There are many more private importing labels joining Vive le Vin in the coming weeks.
At the launch event, we were able to try four of the bottles privately imported by Il Vigneto.
Every one of them had terrific textures, aromas, and flavors. Having Il Vigneto and Vive le Vin's owners enhanced the experience as we understood each bottle of wine better.
If you are looking to purchase some wine, why not support local entrepreneurs and buy from our friends at Vive le Vin.
To Vive le Vin -- We wish you all the best of luck in this new venture and hope to open many more bottles with you down the way!*All photos by Dany Dao - @dapper_cards
